Reflection: Growth as a Graphic Designer

As I was prepping for an interview this morning, I noticed something interesting—I naturally default to saying “we” when talking about my work. And honestly, that makes sense. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with incredible designers, copywriters, project managers, and leaders throughout my career. The work has always felt like a team effort.

But as I paused to reflect on how much I’ve grown as a creative leader, replacing “we” with “I” and “me,” something clicked. I realized just how much I’ve learned from others. And how much I’ve personally accomplished.

This wasn’t about taking sole credit—because great work is rarely done in isolation—but about recognizing my own contributions, leadership, and impact. It was a powerful reminder that while collaboration fuels success, owning our individual growth is just as important.

As I continue my job search, I’m excited about finding my next great opportunity—one where I can bring my experience in branding, creative leadership, and photography to a team that values collaboration and innovation. If you know of any opportunities that align, I’d love to connect!
